John Cusack, Ralph Macchio e altri omaggiano Alan Arkin: “Leggendario sotto ogni aspetto”

Numerose star di Hollywood hanno reso omaggio sui social media ad Alan Arkin, morto a 89 anni. “Nostro padre era una forza della natura dal talento unico, sia come artista che come uomo”, hanno dichiarato i figli Adam, Matthew e Anthony in un comunicato congiunto che ne annuncia la morte. “Era un marito, un padre, un nonno e un bisnonno affettuoso, era adorato e ci mancherà profondamente”.

Arkin era forse più conosciuto per aver vinto l’Oscar in Little Miss Sunshine, al fianco di Abigail Breslin, Steve Carell, Paul Dano e Toni Collette. Ha recitato anche in Argo, che gli è valso un’altra nomination. Recentemente, l’attore aveva ricevuto due nomination agli Emmy come miglior attore non protagonista in una serie comica per la sua interpretazione in Il metodo Kominsky.

Jason Alexander è stata la prima star a reagire alla notizia, twittando: “Una voce così meravigliosa e originale per la commedia. Nelle poche occasioni in cui sono stato in sua presenza, un’anima gentile e generosa. Ho imparato molto guardandolo. Le risate che mi ha regalato con il suo splendido lavoro sono infinite”.

“L’unico e solo Alan Arkin ci ha lasciato”, ha scritto Michael Imperioli su Instagram. “Arkin era una persona di rara bellezza che aveva un infallibile senso della realtà, che gli permetteva di passare con facilità dal tragico all’esilarante in un batter d’occhio. Un grande attore e una grande perdita per il cinema”.

Ralph Macchio ha twittato: “Alan Arkin – leggendario sotto ogni aspetto e in ogni genere. La sua gamma era ed è… infinita! Davvero unico nel suo genere”.

Alan Arkin was so talented with astounding range. He could do it all and he did. And brilliantly. Watching him over the years taught me so much about acting. Talent like this is rare indeed.
