Emmy Awards 2023, tutte le nomination: trionfo per The White Lotus e Succession

Anche l’Italia sarà presente alla prossima edizione degli Emmy, gli Oscar della tv statunitense, grazie a Sabrina Impacciatore e Simona Tabasco – nominate entrambe nella categoria “best supporting actress” (attrici non protagoniste) per il loro ruolo nella serie drammatica HBO The White Lotus, trasmessa in Italia su Sky e NOW – e alla scenografa Cristina Onori, nominata per la stessa serie tv: “Sono euforica, su di giri” è stato il commento a caldo di Tabasco, raggiunta telefonicamente da THR Roma.

Annunciate oggi dal presidente della Television Academy Frank Scherma e dall’attrice Yvette Nicole Brown, le nomination nelle 31 categorie della 75a edizione degli Emmy Awards hanno consacrato il trionfo delle due serie date ampiamente per favorite, The White Lotus e Succession (ancora un titolo HBO). A concorrere al premio tutte le serie, miniserie, serie antologiche e programmi tv distribuiti negli Stati Uniti tra il primo giugno 2022 e il 31 maggio 2023.

Anche l’ex presidente americano Barack Obama ha avuto una nomination (la sua seconda), per la docuserie Working: What We Do All Day (Netflix), per la quale è stato candidato nella categoria “miglior narratore”.  Working è stato prodotto dalla compagnia Higher Ground, di cui l’ex inquilino della Casa Bianca è titolare insieme alla moglie Michelle.

I nomi dei vincitori sanno rivelati durante la cerimonia al Microsoft Theater di Los Angeles il prossimo 18 settembre, preceduta il 9 settembre dai premi “tecnici” Creative Arts Emmy Awards. Le date potrebbero tuttavia slittare, in attesa dell’accordo tra gli scioperanti della WGA e l’Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP). Di seguito le nomination agli Emmy 2023.
